Privacy Policy for Axiom Exchange Trade Helper Chrome Extension
Last Updated: May 27, 2025
Thank you for using the (Unofficial) Axiom Exchange Trade Helper (the "Extension"). This Privacy Policy describes how your information is handled by the Extension. Our commitment is to your privacy and ensuring that the Extension operates with transparency.
1. Information We Do Not Collect
Axiom Exchange Trade Helper is designed to operate primarily on your local device. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information (PII) or sensitive personal data. Specifically, we do not collect:
- Your Browse history (except as described below for core functionality)
- Personal data from your Google account or any other online accounts
- Information you type into forms on websites (unless explicitly part of a user-configured site pattern for the sole purpose of identifying a contract address)
- Your IP address or precise location information
2. Information the Extension Accesses and Why
To provide its intended functionality, Axiom Exchange Trade Helper requires access to certain information, which is processed locally on your computer:
URLs of Visited Pages:
- Purpose: The core function of the Extension is to identify when you visit a webpage that matches a user-configured or default site pattern associated with cryptocurrency tokens (e.g., pages on Solscan, DexScreener, etc.). This allows the Extension to either automatically redirect you to the Axiom Exchange terminal or display a "Trade on Axiom Exchange" button.
- Handling: URL checking is done locally. The URLs are compared against the patterns you have configured in the Extension's settings. URLs that do not match any configured patterns are ignored and not processed further.
User Configuration Data (Stored Locally via chrome.storage.local):
- Purpose: To allow you to customize the Extension's behavior.
- Data Stored:
- The list of website patterns you want the Extension to act upon (both default and those you add manually).
- The action associated with each pattern (redirect, show button, or disable).
- The screen position (top/left coordinates) of the draggable "Trade on Axiom Exchange" button for different sites, so it remembers where you placed it.
- Handling: This data is stored only on your local computer using the
chrome.storage.local API. It is not transmitted to any external server. You can clear this data by managing the Extension's settings or by uninstalling the Extension.
Content of Web Pages (Limited Interaction):
- Purpose: The content script needs to be injected into web pages to display and manage the "Trade on Axiom Exchange" button.
- Handling: The content script does not read or store the general content of web pages. Its sole interaction is to add the button element to the page DOM and make it functional (e.g., draggable, clickable to open the Axiom Exchange URL). It only activates to add the button when instructed by the background script for a matching URL.
3. Permissions Requested and Their Use
The Extension requests the following permissions in its manifest.json file:
storage:
- Justification: To save your custom site configurations, preferred actions for sites, and the position of the draggable trade button locally on your device.
tabs:
- Justification: To detect URL changes for identifying relevant crypto sites, to perform URL redirects to Axiom Exchange when configured, and to communicate with content scripts on active tabs (e.g., to show the button).
scripting (via content_scripts):
- Justification: To inject the "Trade on Axiom Exchange" button onto relevant web pages, make it interactive (draggable), and manage its appearance based on user settings and site context.
host_permissions (<all_urls>):
- Justification: Required to check the URL of any visited page against user-configured patterns (which can be for any website) and to inject the content script (for the trade button) onto those specific matching pages. The Extension only processes information from sites that match user-defined or default crypto site patterns. No data from non-matching sites is used or stored.
4. Data Security
All data that the Extension handles (such as your configured site patterns and button positions) is stored locally on your computer via chrome.storage.local. We do not transmit this data to any external servers.
5. Third-Party Services
The (Unofficial) Axiom Exchange Trade Helper does not integrate with or send data to any third-party services, analytics platforms, or advertising networks. Its function is to interact with the Axiom Exchange website based on your actions and configurations, but it does not share your data with Axiom Exchange or any other third party beyond the necessary navigation to their site.
6. Children's Privacy
The Extension is not intended for use by children under the age of 13 (or the relevant age of consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
8. Disclaimer
